The mid afternoon shadows were the first thing that caught my eye as I was walking towards this shed on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.
We were camping there over the Easter Long Weekend and I was taking a tourist stroll around the Island snapping off photos trying to capture the essence of a place that was once a convict prison facility and later a naval warship construction installation.
The checkerboard paintwork on the stacked bollards was also an interesting play of light and dark and overall I really liked how this scene turned out.
