fridayFOTO No.0011 ~ Dinner

The photo shows a collection of six carefully wrapped and positioned jacket potatoes as they cook on the hearth of the open fireplace, with beautifully roaring fire, in the campground communal kitchen shelter at Smythesdale Garden Campground, Victoria, Australia.

This photo was taken while my sons and I were on our Great Australian Road Trip, 9 December, 2017.

The boys and I stayed at this campground for several days and particularly LOVED the open fireplace in the communal picnic shelter. I practically monopolised the shelter while we stayed there.

We had many a happy moment sitting in front of that fire, after scrounging the area for whatever twigs and bits of wood we could scrape together to get the fire going.

I love to cook jacket potatoes like this but unfortunately I still haven’t quite mastered the knack of cooking them in the fire without burning them, meaning: we had to eat charcoal burnt potatoes more times than I care to admit.

Naming it Dinner

I decided to name this photo Dinner because it is a reminder of what we had.
