Creating your first Digital Scrapbooking page may seem like a daunting task at first blush. However, the good news is that it is actually much simpler than it seems and once you understand how to use layers it becomes the proverbial piece of cake. In this blog post we cover the basics of getting started with your first digital scrapbooking layout project through a simple step-by-step walk through of the canvas file creation and design process commencing with a bunch of random files through to completed layout.

Today it is my great pleasure to present to you the first of the brand new range of sketchPLATES for 2022. Spotlighting this sketchPLATE Saturday offering, the idea for this page was originally sparked by those awesome ampersands that were so popular a little while ago. Having spotted a few on Pinterest I decided to try my hand at designing one. Here’s what happened …

Status Update

For the last couple of weeks I have been steadily working my way through existing posts and images, and optimising everything as I go, from basic wording (spelling and grammar checking too) right through to automating some of the repetitive text. The process is well in hand and almost complete.

The login for the shop is still a little in the air … the customer database as it exists has been uninstalled, and I will be inviting everyone to re-register soon. Look out for the email alert.

Working towards a 1 February 2022 shop reopening … just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Status Update

Design Shop: After numerous external delays, serious health hiccoughs, family matters and more than a few steep learning curves, it would seem as though the new Design Shop software is finally functioning. There are still a number of tests that need to be completed to ensure that everything is running smoothly. However, that process should be resolved fairly quickly. Now the big hurdle is to track down why this site is taking so long to load. AND to optimise images and CSS, thereby placating the great god google. See you SOON!

Good news: The way forward for the Design Shop has been resolved!  Currently all products and coupons are being migrated to a new to me cart system. The cart, or so I understand from the documentation, seamlessly integrates with WordPress. So please bear with me a little longer whilst the process is completed.

Unfortunately, COVID persists and for me the last three months have been a whirlwind of “busy doing other things” to say the least. The glitch discovered in the Shopping Cart checkout system persists also and I just haven’t found it within my capacity to sort it out… yet. So, the shop downloads are currently offline as explained in this post here…
